Academic Karate ProgramŽ will help you give your
child a head start in life!
I know the struggle you face as a parent. You work full
time, rushing all over town on congested streets during
the busiest time of day to try and find the best
activities for your child. You wish you could
spend more time with your kid but realize the harsh
realities of modern life means precious few moments. You
want your child to have the very best education,
activities and hobbies that life has to offer.
After all, they are only children once...
Our after school program starts with the beginning of
the 2006-2007 school year and will feature a focused
schedule of academic study time, martial arts classes
and fun! There will be a limited number of openings in
the program for children between the ages of 5 and 10
years old.
With our after school program we offer:
- Snack Time - your child may bring their own
lunch/snack items or money for purchasing items at
the local shops in the mall. Refrigerators, coolers,
microwaves and storage will be available as well.
- Free Pick-up services from the following public
and private elementary schools;
St.Theresa
Sylvania Heights Elementary School
Henry Flagler Elementary School
Coral Gables Elementary
George Washinton Carver Elementary
South Miami Elementary
Ponce De Leon Elementary School
Sunset Elementary
Ransome Everglades School
and many others...
- Convenient pick up times from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Silent reading time - a great way to encourage
your child to develop great reading and reading
comprehension skills.
- Tutoring Services - many of the high school and
college students, as well as parents and teachers,
who participate in our school's activities have
volunteered some of their time for our after
school program. Additional tutoring and SAT,
FCAT preparation and other courses will be
available.
- Science Friday Lab - fun and educational science
activities every Friday afternoon.
- Children who have finished all of their
academic requirements will be given the opportunity to
participate in team building activities, arts and
crafts, watch TV, DVD's, play games and much more!
- FREE MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING - perhaps the
greatest part of your child's participation in our
program will be that he or she will train in the
martial arts several times a week, often daily, at
no additional charge as part of our after school
program.
